Old Bison Ranch is a one-of-a-kind venue located in Forreston, Texas that is nestled in six-hundred acres of wooded magic. It features massive trees and lush green pastures. The romantic ceremony site is set beneath an established towering pecan tree back-dropped by a winding pond. The venue is sprawling with 6,000 square-feet of indoor rustic elegance, 3,000 square-feet of wrap around outdoor decking, and separate, appointed cabins for bridal and groomsmen preparations. There is an outdoor fire pit, indoor fireplace, and pecan-tree grove perfect for outdoor dining in mild weather. Our prices also include tables, chairs, and linens. the tree
The 200 year old iconic pecan tree towers over the ceremony area, providing a lush picturesque backdrop. The tree makes a perfect setting for saying the “I do’s” and sets just in front of the gorgeous Old Bison pond! The pond adds to the romantic ambiance and is visited by many shorebirds. Our large ceremony space provides seating for up to 300 guests.
the reception
Our newly renovated reception hall can seat up to 300 guests. The venue is sprawling with 6,000 square-feet of indoor rustic elegance with 3,000 square-feet of wrap around outdoor decking that overlook the manicured landscaped grounds. The venue has a separate kitchen with direct side access for caterers. Both the interior and exterior of the reception hall are strung with romantic string lights perfect for entertaining!
the bridal suite & the grooms cabin
Old Bison Ranch provides private suites for both the bride and her bridesmaids as well as the groom and the groomsmen. The spacious and trendy bridal suite is a perfect example of our rustic elegance theme throughout the property. It’s a private and comfortable space that’s perfect for the girls to get ready in for the big day!
The rustic grooms cabin, complete with a wrap around porch, is perfect for the guys! The spiral staircase leading up to the loft overlooks the manicured landscape grounds and pond. Just outside the cabin is a large stone firepit for the girls or the guys to enjoy!

Other Amenities
Old Bison Ranch provides round eight person reception tables as well as white reception chairs. Several large “head tables” are also included for the bridal party. Optional linens may also be provided.
